Kelly, Ph.D., Resa is a professor at San José State University in Chemistry and Science Education. She is a chemical education researcher with interests in the design and use of molecular animations. Specifically, she examines how students learn and modify their understanding of chemistry concepts after viewing and reflecting on molecular visualizations designed to portray chemical reactions. As a former high school teacher and as a General Chemistry professor she is interested in exploring how to employ animations in teaching practice in ways that inspire students to think deeply about the concepts portrayed.
